Maqbous

Balalit is a kind of vermicelli. It doesn’t look like traditional vermicelli though. First because it’s sweet, second because it’s fried. And third because it’s served in a savory omelet. The cardamom sauce gives the dish a special touch.
Hamir
Yeast buns and pancakes are served in the Arab Emirates for breakfast and as a street food. They can be savory and spicy or sweet. The second one is like doughnuts and served with date syrup.
Last Exit Food Truck Park
Another trend that is gaining popularity in Dubai recently is food truck parks. The biggest and most famous one is called Last Exit and is located on the highway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It has street food from all over the world, from falafel to tacos and pizza. Each zone has its own style: food trucks decorated like American diners and Mad Max. The latter is very popular with tourists.

Two restaurants are located in the main skyscrapers of Dubai – Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and Burj Khalifa. Go to the first one for French fine dining: Saverio Sbaragli is Alain Ducasse’s student here. In the second one for Italian fine dining.
Hakkasan Dubai at Atlantis The Palm Dubai
A classic of Chinese cuisine from Guangdong province. As well as traditional Cantonese-style sea bass, this place makes the most creative dim sum in Dubai, sweet potato and Beijing duck are a must try.

Il Ristorante – Niko Romito
The author of the Il Ristorante concept, three Michelin star winner Niko Romito, combined regional Italian cuisine with modern minimalism. Tortelli with ricotta, as in Emilia-Romagna, is served here with spinach and Manteca butter. And king crab, as in Venice, is cooked all year round not just in season.
Restaurant STAY by Yannick Alléno
Yannick Alléno is the face of modern French cuisine. And not just because he looks like a movie star. Author of Ma Cuisine de Bistro, the book that revived Parisian bistro culture, 14 Michelin stars winner and a regular contributor to glossy magazines, Alleno is also known for supporting local produce and farmers wherever he works. At STAY, a restaurant on Palm Jumeirah Island, creative starters are made from local ingredients. The milk lamb meat, matured for 12 days in a special cave, is a must try.
