Rumors We’ve Heard About the iPhone 16 So Far
The launch month for the iPhone 16 is finally here! I know you must be just as excited as I am because I’m really intrigued to see what Apple adds to their latest phone now. Previously, we’ve seen changes in chipsets that increased the phone’s performance, improved camera quality and not to mention all those brilliant colors.
I’ve been keeping up with all the iPhone 16-related news ever since the phone was first announced. I spent countless hours reading all the rumors and I’ll have to say, I was pretty impressed with what people are expecting to get from the newest iPhone.
Here’s everything I found out about what the iPhone 16 might offer us. Remember, all of this is based on rumors, we’ll only know for sure once the phone is released.
The A-Series Chips Will Continue
So far, it is speculated that the iPhone 16 will continue with the A-Series chip, the A18. However, there might be slight improvements in the 16 Pro as Apple did with its previous iPhones. The “Pro” version of the phone always has a better chipset.
Mostly, the difference is between the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) cores of different iPhone versions. The 16 Pro will have more GPU cores, making it a brilliant option for mobile gaming, streaming music, and watching movies and TV shows.
I’ve been using Xfinity with my iPhone 15 Pro Max and I’ve faced no hiccups so far. Once you’re done and get the iPhone 16 Pro, you’ll definitely have the time of your life!
The Dual Sim Feature May Return
It is believed that the dual sim feature may return with the iPhone 16, making it easier for you to have two phone numbers in one phone rather than having to carry two phones with you.
Better yet, some mobile service providers usually sell the latest phones with a discounted offer. I’ve seen Xfinity do this before, so it would be a smart idea to call Xfinity customer service phone number and ask if they are doing so this time or not.
Colors with a Different Touch
Around six months ago, I remember reading that the iPhone 16 Pro could possibly have a new color called Desert Yellow or Desert Titanium. This color will be similar to a shade of gold, something that we saw back in the iPhone 14 Pro but this one is going to be a bit of a deeper shade of gold.
We may also get another color called Cement Gray or Titanium Gray, which is going to be the same as the Space Gray we saw in the iPhone 6. Honestly, I used to love that color so much and I can’t wait to see it again!
However, it is also said that Titanium Blue will not be available this time, which is a little sad to hear because I was pretty fond of that color too. Now we’ll just have to wait and see which colors we get. I’m going to go for the one that stands out the most!
The iPhone Design
Mostly, the design of all iPhones is more or less the same, which is why it is difficult for most people to determine which iPhone a person is holding. You must have seen a similarity with a square camera design with two or three lenses lined up diagonally.
However, one rumor states that Apple is finally getting rid of that camera design. Instead, they may opt for a pill-shaped camera, like the one on the iPhone X. This will definitely make the iPhone look a lot more elegant and symmetrical.
It is also speculated that the two (or more) lenses will include a wide and ultra-wide lens as well, like the iPhone 15 used to have. The microphone will be right next to the lenses for better recording when you are making a video. The flash, however, will be outside the camera bump and will be placed in the middle of the backside of the phone.
Greater RAM, More Storage Capacity
Storage and RAM are the two things that Apple always held back on and we don’t understand why. However, despite both of these things being lesser than that of an Android, an iPhone just never seems to lag or give you a tough time.
The iPhone 16 may finally offer more RAM and more storage capacity. I remember reading on macrumors.com that the RAM will be increased from 6GB to 8GB in the base variant. Previously it was only available in the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro. There might also be a chance that Apple increases the RAM for 16 Pro and Pro Max to either 10GB or 12GB. If that actually happens, then there’s no stopping the iPhone 16!
Some Words of Advice
If you are planning on getting any variant of the iPhone 16, I would recommend that you also get a MagSafe charger for it. The strong magnets in your iPhone will firmly hold the charger in place. This makes it easier for you to carry your charger around so that you don’t run out of battery!
